Vilafranca del Penedès is known all over the world thanks to its wines and cavas.
The most internationally renowned cellar is Torres. It is situated in Pacs del penedès, which is two kilometres from our hotel, and it offers a tour of its cellar so the visitor to dig deeper in to the winemaking culture.
The Parès Baltà cellar is known for it’s ecological wines and it’s another of the visits that we recommend to the visitors who are interested in learning an alternative winemaking process.
Just a few kilometres away lies Sant sadurni d’Anoia a town famous for its legendary cavas such as Codorniu,a perfect example of the Catalan modernist style and also Cavas Freixenet. Between the two of them they produce most of the Cava that comes out of the country.
Vilafranca also boasts one of the most traditional festivities that includes The commemoration of Saint Felix and the human tours, in which courage strength and solidarity are pushed to the limit.

SITGES is less than twenty minutes away and has idyllic Mediterranean beaches. It’s famous “sin street” renowned for it’s buzzing nightlife and we’d also like to highlight the Cau Ferrat museum which was the artist and writer Santiago Rusiñol’s studio and home.
In fact thanks to artists such as Santiago Rusiñol, Ramon Casas, Miquel Utrillo and Charles Deering, Sitges became the reference place for Catalan Modernism.
Montserrat is the symbol of catalunya and is also worth a visit. It’s a range of Mountains famous for their enigmatic shapes in which we find a beautiful monastery and the sanctuary of the black virgin of Montserrat.
If you’re looking for more thrilling emotions you should head to Port Aventura, the Thematic park in Salou. There you will be able to go on a trip from China to México and even reach the idyllic Polynesia.It has a wide range of spectacles for the whole family and loads of funfair rides .It’s hard to think of something more fun and enjoyable than spending a whole day in Port Aventura.
Little natural spots like Les Deus in sant quinti de mediona, the Garraf natural park,the Foix swamp and the vineyards which ooze life the whole year ‘round but even more so during th time of the harvest make the Penedès region a natural paradise to discover.
